It all began with a vision of people being able to move more easily and freely in the water, and the idea of a breathing device that fits snugly against the head and provides swimmers with the best fresh air at all times. The idea for the POWERBREATHER was born.
That was years ago. After all, for a revolutionary idea to become a reality, it takes more than just one person who believes in it: it takes developers and product designers, investors, and experienced managers. Today, AMEO is a dedicated, interdisciplinary team standing behind the POWERBREATHER.
We are passionate, active athletes who want to develop and bring to market meaningful and beneficial products. We’re united by our enthusiasm for the POWERBREATHER and the possibilities it opens up for all users. The POWERBREATHER creates a completely new sensation in the water, a new dimension of swimming—it allows you to push your limits and experience the aquatic world in a whole new way—whether in a pool or open water.
Incidentally, AMEO Watersports GmbH is headquartered in Emmering near Munich, right in the heart of Bavaria’s “Fünfseen-Land”—one of the most scenic regions, offering ideal conditions for open-water swimming.
WHERE DID THE IDEA FOR THE POWERBREATHER COME FROM?
Breathing is a vital—but also completely normal—process for us. We regularly inhale fresh air and exhale stale air, and we rarely get “out of breath” during normal physical activity. This is exactly the state we wanted to achieve—not only when breathing on land, but also in the water while swimming with a swimming snorkel.
With the POWERBREATHER, we have achieved this goal: No longer do you have to exhale used air from the snorkel before each new breath; instead, you inhale fresh air steadily and regularly and exhale used air forward.

WHAT DOES "PURE WATER FOR GENERATIONS" STAND FOR?
In March 2016, as Pascal Rösler was once again paddling his stand-up paddleboard on Lake Starnberg and feeling the incredible power of the water, he realized just how important water is to our lives. Until then, despite all the years he had spent on the water as a windsurfer and stand-up paddler, he had never felt this very special connection.
But on that day, he realized what water means to us: life. While still on the water, he made the decision to take responsibility for the water—for nature—from then on and to give something back. His idea: to paddle a stand-up paddleboard from Munich to Vienna via the Isar and Danube rivers, collecting donations for water conservation for every kilometer of river traveled.
